Further Hockey Success for Charlotte

We would like to celebrate with you the successes Charlotte, Year 9, has had this year in her hockey.  For the third season in a row Charlotte was selected to play for the U15 West Yorkshire Hockey Team, having successfully got through two sets of trials against other girls from the whole of West Yorkshire.

She has been playing ladies hockey together with the U14 and U16 hockey teams  throughout the season, culminating in her playing for the Ladies 3rd team and playing for them all season, making her debut for the Ladies 2nd team and Ladies 1st team. At 14 years of age, in a very high standard of hockey, this is a great achievement in itself.  She has also now been invited to train every week with the  Huddersfield Dragons Ladies first team squad at Lockwood Park.

Over the Easter break Charlotte was awarded the Huddersfield Dragons Ladies 3rds Player of the Season and an even greater achievement is that she won Huddersfield Dragons Junior Player of the Season, which, out of the number of juniors (up to U18s) at Huddersfield Dragons, rewards and celebrates the commitment she has shown throughout the season.

Charlotte has also qualified as a Level 1 hockey umpire, having attended an umpire's course at Ben Rhydding in January. She has now umpired adult matches in the Yorkshire League together with all the tournaments The MFG hockey teams are involved in.

We are looking forward to  seeing all the future success Charlotte has on the hockey field!
