STEM Challenge Day
On Wednesday 7 June, fourteen new Year 9 students attended a More Able STEM day at the University of Huddersfield. Working in teams from other Kirklees schools, our students completed a series of STEM challenges including medical diagnosis, coding for robotics and an E-fit challenge. One group even had the opportunity to create an E-fit of Mrs Brown and Mrs Womersley who were very flattered by their youthful depictions! With some individual winners on the series of challenges, the students were incredibly well behaved and a true credit to the Academy.
