Using iOS devices to send back work on Microsoft Teams 30 March 2020

Over the past week it has become clear that many people are using Apple iOS devices (mostly iPhones) to access Teams. Due to this it isn't as easy as a laptop/desktop to edit work added by teachers and submit. Follow these simple instructions to be able to take a photo of your work and submit in Assignments. Covid-19 - Free School Meals Scam Warning 25 March 2020

Please note that the Department of Education has sent out the following warning regarding Free School Meals:

Be aware of scam emails

We have been informed that some parents have received an email stating the following: ‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’.

We can confirm that this is a scam email and is not official. We urge parents that if you receive any emails like this, please do not respond, and delete it immediately.

Under no circumstances will The MFG ask you for bank details.

Update 19 March 2020 - 9.16am

The MFG will remain open next week for children of Key Workers and vulnerable children. We will spend today and tomorrow identifying these children. On-line work will be available for all year groups.

We will look at how we can provide support for these students over the Easter holidays.

We will follow Government guidance on provision of Free School Meals when it is available.

Work will be set to all students (in Years 7-10 and 12) using Microsoft Teams (teams.microsoft.com). More information on this for parents is available here.

All trips, visits, examinations, and events have been cancelled or postponed until further notice.
